The Strategic Account Manager, Singapore, is responsible for Abcam’s business in Singapore. You will be expected to grow revenue and awareness of Abcam’s broad product range, focusing on direct customer engagement with specific Biopharma & Academic customers, and collaboration with Channel Partners, with a secondary focus on KOL engagement.

This position reports to the Commercial General Manager, JAPAC, and is part of the JAPAC Marketing & Sales Team. This role will be fully remote, based in Singapore.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Develop Deep Client Relationships: Establish trusted, long-term relationships with senior decision-makers in Biotech/Pharma customers to ensure Abcam is their trusted partner, in addition to KOLs, academic Professors, Principal Investigators, and bench scientists
• Strategic Planning: Develop Strategic Account strategies that include Revenue growth, project pipelines, and stakeholder maps to deliver unambiguous share gain
• Business Growth: Proactively identify, develop, and close New Business Opportunities
• Cross Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Abcam’s Southeast Asia Marketing & Sales team, Customer Support teams, Finance, Supply Chain & Digital to deliver solutions to customers' pain points
• Pipeline Management & Reporting: Use of CRM to plan and manage sales activities, managing pipeline, qualifying leads and managing funnel with regular management reporting

The essential requirements of the job include:

• MSc in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Microbiology fields
• 5 years of experience in science-based solution selling in the Life Science market in Pharma, Biotech and Academia in the territory
• Strong knowledge of the Singaporean market dynamics, business regulations, and competitors to drive growing Revenue and competitive differentiation
• Excellent in managing customer interface and relationships, both at the scientific end-user level, decision-making level and procurement levels
• Have strong oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal, relationship building and presentation skills in English

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to travel 75% of the time in Singapore and occasionally within the JAPAC region

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Have a global perspective and enjoy collaboration with senior leaders, in particular the Global Leadership Team as well as the JAPAC Regional Marketing & Sales Teams
• Possess a high degree of work ethic and professional transparency
