Job Description
The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for nurturing and expanding relationships with key enterprise clients. This role focuses on driving long-term value through strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and proactive account management. The ideal candidate is a trusted advisor who understands client business goals and aligns internal resources to deliver impactful solutions. This role is highly cross-functional in nature and does not have direct reports.
Travel Note: Some travel is expected (<25%) to meet with customers and attend industry conferences and events.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with client stakeholders.
- Understand client business models, challenges, and goals to deliver tailored solutions.
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute account plans that align with client objectives and company growth targets.
- Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding service offerings.
- Lead quarterly business reviews and strategic planning sessions with clients.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Advocate for client needs internally and influence product roadmap decisions.
Performance & Reporting
- Monitor account health, satisfaction, and performance metrics.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Forecast revenue growth and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.
Contract & Renewal Management
- Assist sales lead with contract negotiations, renewals, and pricing discussions.
- Ensure timely execution of agreements and compliance with terms.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION
- 4 years of account management experience (client-facing) in healthcare IT
- 4-year degree in business or related field
EXPERIENCE
- 4 years of account management experience (client-facing) in healthcare IT
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Development, Analytics, Customer Service, and Operations teams.
- Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to interpret and present trends effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
- Experience with SalesForce and/or HubSpot is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and resolve problems independently, particularly when the path forward may not be apparent
- Ability to accept and provide constructive feedback.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Strong financial literacy, trade-math proficiency, and the ability to conduct return-on-investment (ROI) analyses.
- Exceptional negotiation, problem-solving, and persuasive communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous and evolving environments.
- Ability to balance customer needs with platform scalability.
- Self-starter capable of building structure where it does not yet exist.
- High attention to detail with strong documentation discipline
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to work at a desk in the office for long periods of time.

The expected base pay range for this position is $75,000–$100,000 per year. The actual compensation for the position may vary based on market differences and on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and can vary based on location and/or work schedule.
