Job Description

Interested in a career that matters?

Are you ready to shape strategic partnerships with some of the largest US-based customers and turn their needs into opportunities for growth and innovation?

As Strategic Account Manager, you will join a collaborative commercial organization supporting Food & Beverage and related value chains. You will work across geographic and organizational boundaries, connecting Sales, Technical Service, Marketing, Applied Research, Business Development, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Finance and other functions to translate customer priorities into commercial and innovation opportunities.

Through trust, direct communication and shared accountability, you will help customers improve products, processes and performance through biosolutions across multiple markets and regions.

The role & your impact

This is a senior individual-contributor role combining strategic leadership, commercial execution and innovation across complex, multi-market accounts. You will set direction, create alignment and drive execution across a global account ecosystem, leading through influence rather than formal authority.

Your key responsibilities in this role

  • Set the strategic direction for assigned accounts. Build multi-year account ambitions and growth plans that translate customer priorities and market developments into financial goals, innovation roadmaps and focused actions.
  • Lead complex customer relationships. Build trusted relationships across procurement, commercial, technical, innovation, operations and executive stakeholders, supported by strong stakeholder mapping and purposeful executive engagement.
  • Coordinate the global account ecosystem. Align regional, local and cross-functional teams around priorities, roles and commitments to enable consistent execution across markets.
  • Build and convert the opportunity pipeline. Translate customer needs and market trends into qualified opportunities, remove roadblocks and maintain disciplined progression.
  • Deliver commercial performance and customer value. Support sales, pricing, forecasting, demand planning, risk management and retention while identifying and addressing competitive threats early.
  • Strengthen account excellence. Share market intelligence, build account-team capabilities and continuously improve account-planning and customer-engagement practices.

What you’ll need to be successful in this role

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant commercial or technical field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in strategic sales, key/global account management, business development or a comparable senior commercial role.
  • Experience within Food & Beverage, ingredients, and/or another complex B2B environment.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-region accounts and developing customer relationships through executive level.
  • Strong business acumen across account strategy, opportunity development, pricing, forecasting, negotiation and commercial planning.
  • The ability to lead cross-functional and cross-cultural teams through influence.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM and account-planning tools.

You will also bring strong strategic and commercial thinking, relationship leadership, collaboration and ownership. You connect customer strategy, market dynamics and Novonesis capabilities, build trust across diverse stakeholders and turn plans into measurable progress.

Additional skills & interests we value

We value curiosity, adaptability and a practical, credible approach to working with others. You are comfortable moving between executive-level conversations and operational detail, ask thoughtful questions, seek new insights and adapt as customer and market conditions evolve.

A collaborative approach will help you create alignment across functions, regions and cultures where success depends on influence rather than reporting lines.
