Your Role:Strategic Account Manager

As a Strategic Account Manager, you will be part of the Monogastrics sales team to deliver growth across our Poultry and Swine portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with key customers, aligning our solutions to their business objectives, and driving account growth through strategic planning and cross-functional collaboration.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute integrated customer plans to deliver sales targets and increase market share across the Monogastric product portfolio (Vaccines, antimicrobials, nutritionals).
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, operating effectively from farm level to the boardroom to understand needs and deliver value.
  • Lead strategic planning efforts and coordinate internal support functions (Marketing, Technical, etc.) to implement innovative solutions that drive customer success.
  • Manage product forecasting, pricing, promotional activity, and CRM reporting to optimize supply and meet customer requirements.
  • Demonstrate leadership and influence without authority to align internal teams and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Veterinary Science (BSc., BVSc.), or equivalent level of experience.
  • A proven track record in sales or account management within the Animal Health sector, specifically with Poultry, Swine, or In-feeds.
  • Valid South African driving license and high-level computer literacy including data entry and analytical skills.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence external stakeholders ranging from farm managers to commercial decision-makers and Veterinary Surgeons.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate resources and lead others without direct line responsibility.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to present effectively.
  • Flexibility to participate in evening or weekend programs and travel regionally, nationally, or internationally as required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a focus on delivering value-added projects.

Travel:Requires overnight travel regionally, nationally, and/or internationally as required by business needs.
