Salary Range: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 Salary/year

Applied Technical Services (ATS) / CEESI is seeking a results-driven Strategic Account Executive to grow aerospace, aviation, and defense accounts. The role develops new business, expands strategic relationships, and increases revenue across flow calibration, flow measurement, and testing services for OEMs, MROs, defense contractors, government agencies, space/launch organizations, and critical tier suppliers. The ideal candidate brings commercial discipline, technical curiosity, and credibility in regulated environments where precision, compliance, flight safety, mission readiness, and operational reliability matter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, and closing opportunities across aerospace, aviation, defense, space markets.
  • Develop territory and strategic account plans for OEMs, primes, tier suppliers, MROs, defense contractors, and launch/space customers.
  • Build relationships with quality, metrology, avionics, engineering, maintenance, and reliability stakeholders.
  • Translate customer technical and compliance requirements into flow calibration solutions.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, quality, and lab leadership to develop scopes, proposals, technical approaches, turnaround expectations, and delivery plans.
  • Lead proposals, presentations, negotiations, and enterprise service agreements for strategic aerospace, aviation, and defense accounts.
  • Represent ATS/CEESI at aerospace, aviation maintenance, defense conferences to generate leads and expand market presence.
  • Maintain CRM discipline, forecast accuracy, pipeline movement, account plans, strategic wins, and competitive displacement.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Annual revenue growth vs target and gross margin performance
  • New customer acquisition across aerospace, aviation, defense, and space
  • Pipeline coverage, win rate, forecast accuracy, and competitive conversion
  • Strategic account growth, retention, and multi-site penetration
  • Documented account plans and engagement with technical, quality, procurement, and program stakeholders

QualificationsRequired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of business development, strategic account management, technical sales, or aerospace/defense program-facing experience.
  • Proven ability to grow revenue, manage complex sales cycles, and build relationships with regulated industrial, aerospace, aviation, or defense customers.
  • Ability to communicate with commercial, operations, engineering, quality, metrology, and maintenance stakeholders.
  • Understanding of compliance-driven sales environments where documentation, traceability, turnaround, audit readiness, and technical credibility influence vendor selection.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling into aerospace OEMs, commercial aviation operators, defense primes, government facilities, space/launch companies, or critical tier suppliers.
  • Existing relationships within aerospace, aviation maintenance, defense contracting, metrology, quality, or supplier assurance organizations.
  • Familiarity with TIC services, ISO/IEC 17025-accredited calibration, dimensional inspection, avionics, RF/electronic, pressure, torque, temperature, flow, and mechanical testing.
  • Knowledge of aerospace, aviation, and defense quality expectations, including ISO/IEC 17025, AS9100, FAA-related requirements, NIST traceability, approved supplier requirements, and defense procurement documentation.
  • Ability to identify cross-sell opportunities across ATS/CEESI capabilities including calibration, metrology, dimensional inspection, materials testing, NDT, failure analysis, and consulting engineering.
