No CDL needed, just a regular Driver's License!

What You'll Do

As a Straight Truck Driver, you'll safely operate a company straight truck while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries along established routes. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and safety checks in accordance with DOT regulations.
  • Verifying route information, invoices, and loaded products before departure.
  • Delivering and unloading food products at customer locations using hand trucks and dollies.
  • Verifying deliveries, obtaining customer signatures, and collecting payments when required.
  • Communicating with management regarding delivery discrepancies, returns, or customer concerns.
  • Maintaining accurate DOT logs, vehicle reports, and delivery documentation.
  • Working closely with warehouse and transportation teams to ensure efficient operations.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and representing Upper Lakes Foods in a professional manner at every stop.

What We're Looking For

Successful candidates will bring a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and a customer-first mindset. Ideal qualifications include:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous delivery, driving, or customer service experience preferred, but training is available for the right candidate.
  • Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with customers and coworkers.
  • Dependability and consistent attendance.

Physical Requirements

This is an active position that requires frequent lifting, unloading, and product handling. Candidates must be able to:

  • Frequently lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift and move products over 60 pounds.
  • Use a two-wheel cart or hand truck to transport loads weighing up to 350 pounds.
  • Work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
