YOUR MISSION (The Job Description)
The Stove Cleaner will play an important role and is responsible for detailing and degreasing of all kitchen equipment in all the kitchens. This role will work closely with Executive Steward.
Qualifications
THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties)
- Clean floors, floor mats; drains, sweeps and mops all major traffic areas of kitchen
- Clean and degrease kettles, ovens, hoods, fryers, flat top, Char broiler, and salamander, reach ins coolers and worktables
- Polish all stainless steel in kitchen area
- Detail walls, ceiling panels, vents lights, and mobile equipment monthly or as needed
- Change or Filter Fryers when needed. Ensure Safety equipment is used
- Miscellaneous duties, Cleaning Walls, Floors, Drains, Ceiling, Walk in Coolers and Freezers. Reach in coolers

THE WORKING CONDITIONS
- Lift and carry 50 lbs, carry and balance plates, carry kegs, wine and beer cases as necessary
- Stand for periods of 8-10 hours
- Communicate clearly in verbal and written English
- Bend, squat and stretch in areas of limited space to perform cleaning, organization, and other duties
- Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of cold, heat, smoke, light, and sound. Incumbents are at times subject to hazards such as chemicals; proper safety precautions will be taken.
- Responsible for use and knowledge of chemicals. Must use protective gloves and eye wear periodically throughout the shift and not be afraid of heights; working on a ladder is a must
