Responsible for managing day-to-day store and inventory operations in a manufacturing environment, including receipt, verification, and SAP-based GRN processing of gauges, tooling, test plates, and bunks. Ensures accurate inventory control, calibration tracking, and uninterrupted material supply to production. Oversees tooling consumables, coordinates rejection and corrective actions, and maintains compliance with QMS/IMS and API standards. Drives continuous improvement initiatives, 6S implementation, and effective stock management to optimize operational efficiency and cost control.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day receipt of Gauges, Tooling, Test Plates, and Bunks, including verification and timely GRN preparation in SAP.
Coordinate rejection processes by identifying non-conforming materials, initiating documentation, and ensuring corrective actions.
Ensure uninterrupted material feeding to production departments based on approved gauge and tooling requests.
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct periodic physical stock verification.
Oversee Tooling Consumables inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and ensuring availability.
Track calibration status of gauges through Gauge Tracker software and SAP; initiate timely re-calibration for due/overdue instruments.
Review and validate calibration certificates and issue relevant documents to QC whenever TPI requires certification.
Ensure proper tracking, storage, identification, and retrieval of Test Plates and Bunks.
Identify non-moving and slow-moving inventory periodically and recommend appropriate actions to optimize storage space and cost.
Ensure compliance with QMS and IMS procedures in all store operations.
Drive continual improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, improve efficiency, and reduce operational costs.
Implement and sustain 6S activities within the store department.
Requirements
Minimum 3+ years of experience in Inventory/Stores management in a manufacturing environment.
Degree / Diploma in Engineering, Technical discipline, or relevant field.
Strong working knowledge of SAP (mandatory).
Experience in material handling, inventory control, and store operating procedures.
Knowledge of gauges, tooling systems, and calibration processes.
Understanding of codes and standards related to manufacturing operations.
Working knowledge of QMS & IMS systems and documentation requirements.
Familiarity with API standards (including API Spec Q1 and API monogramming practices).
Internal Auditor certification preferred.
Strong planning, execution, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Good documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
