Job Description

The Stores Clerk is responsible for functions within the Maintenance department, specifically those relating to inventory and maintenance material control. This position requires the incumbent to mainly interact with the maintenance staff in a production environment.

• Inventory control, cycle counts and distribution of all maintenance materials, spare parts, and stock items.
• Verify inventory records and correct discrepancies.
• Distribute storeroom materials in accordance with requisition forms.
• Order items to restock storeroom and maintain minimum inventory levels.
• Organization of spare parts.
• Receive inventory to match packing slips, expediting orders and back orders.
• Data entry and uploading pictures of stock items in the system.
• Coordinate and communicate with departments when orders arrive onsite.
• Maintain instructor certification for plant equipment as required.
• Maintain a high level of energy, urgency, and responsiveness to ensure plant production is maximized.
• Unloading trucks and safe use of forklift.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Parts Technician trade certificate is an asset.
• Must be self-disciplined; with the ability to be well organized, precise, and attentive to details.
• Able to work independently, primarily alone and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to drive a stand-up forklift.
• Able to work with, and enforce, applicable company policies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; both written and oral.
• Focus on problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Ability to squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, use ladders, climb stairs.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Strong computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft office and Oracle based programs.
