Job Description

Hours of Job

  • FT - Day Shift
  • Some weekends and holidays

Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • The daily receipt of linen inventories, stocking, and dispensing.
  • Perform linen distribution process, as well as monitor quality of the linen being delivered to the designated linen closets. Responsible for removing damaged linen from inventory.
  • Processes linen orders as appropriate.
  • Accurately completes paperwork to eliminate errors in receiving and distribution. Assists in the development of schedules.
  • Maintains established hospital and departmental policies, procedures, objectives, quality assessment, guest relations, infection control and a safe work environment.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient and departmental information.
  • Maintains professional standards by participating in in-services, committees, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Print jobs as needed in the Print Shop.
  • Sorts and Runs mail machine.

Requirements

  • Requires full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity, eye hand coordination, standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Periods of repetitive pulling and tugging of product to sort/distribute.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift weights of 50# overhead to a height of 60”. Frequent twisting and bending of the body.

Education/Certifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office and PDF software.
  • Ability to learn and work with different software applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks efficiently.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
