Job Location: Good Shepherd Nursing Home - Wheeling, WV 26003,

Position Type: Full Time, Summary of Position:

• Responsible for all departmental activities concerning the ordering and maintaining of supplies needed for the operation of the facility.
• Responsible for all the equipment and supplies that enter or leave the facility (except for the Maintenance Department).

Key Responsibilities

• Maintains a good working relationship with vendors to utilize them for the best service possible.
• Maintains a good working relationship with all facility department heads to ensure their inventory needs are met.
• Help to oversee centralized procurement of all supplies, equipment, and services for the facility and maintain appropriate records to indicate purchases made and supplies received.
• Help with maintaining a database for inventory and supplies, within the storeroom.
• Helps in conducting monthly inventory counts of supplies for all departments.
• Help to resolve problems concerning overdue orders or incorrect shipments.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by the Finance Office Manager or the Administrator.

QAPI

• Recognize your role as part of the QAPI efforts of your organization.
• Attend trainings to build understanding and capacity to undertake QAPI work.
• Carry out QAPI roles and responsibilities as assigned.
• Follow established policies and procedures in support of QAPI efforts.
• Look for and share with leadership ideas for improvement in the organization.
• Communicate to leadership upon witnessing a positive outcome of a QAPI project or detecting barriers preventing project success.
• Support QAPI efforts both verbally and non-verbally (i.e., via actions and attitude), including adjusting performance and practice in accordance with QAPI initiatives and findings.

Qualifications: Experience/Education:

• Must be a high school graduate with at least 2-3 years of experience in long-term care settings.
• Good organizational skills and ability to handle numerous tasks/requests at any given time.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact with outside vendors and representatives.
• Basic computer/math skills along with good record keeping methods.
• Ability to follow instructions well and to carry out requests in a timely manner.

Mental/Physical Requirements

• Must be in good physical and mental health.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs while following the facility's safety protocol.
• Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, reach, pull, push, etc. for an extended period of time depending upon the task needing done.
