The Opportunity

BlueScope Distribution is looking for a Storeperson to join the warehouse team based in Gladstone BlueScope Distribution is a single-source provider of product, processing and service solutions in steel and aluminium product. The business supports customers in a variety of industries and works with them to help deliver projects on time and to specification. BlueScope Distribution supports its customers by helping them find the freedom to do what they do best.

The Storeperson supports our branch operations in ensuring our products and solutions are delivered in a safe and timely manner for our customers. In this customer facing role we are looking for someone who wants to learn, who is organised and works collaboratively as a team player. You will receive ongoing training and support to learn all aspects of the role allowing for future career development opportunities.

Working Monday to Friday onsite in Gladstone, this is a permanent full-time role and shift commences at 7:30am to 4pm.

What Will You Do?

In this role, working with your team, you will receive ongoing training and support to learn to:

• safely loading and unloading products on and off trucks
• accurately pick and pack orders to prepare for customer collection
• locating and organising the storage of products
• operation of processing machines
• checking picked orders, invoicing and branch transfers
• general filing of receipts and invoices
• housekeeping and maintenance of the warehouse area
• assist the wider team with periodic stock checks
• successfully contribute to a safe working environment
