About Emirates Global Aluminium

Emirates Global Aluminium is the world’s biggest ‘premium aluminium’ producer and the largest industrial company in the United Arab Emirates outside the oil and gas industry. EGA is an integrated aluminium producer, with operations on four continents from bauxite mining to the production of cast primary aluminium and recycling. EGA employs over 7,000 of these people including more than 1,200 UAE Nationals. EGA operates aluminium smelters in Jebel Ali and Al Taweelah in the United Arab Emirates, an alumina refinery in Al Taweelah, a bauxite mine and associated export facilities in the Republic of Guinea, a speciality foundry in high strength recycled aluminium in Germany, and a recycling plant in the United States.

1. JOB PURPOSE:
To perform Warehouse activities relating to physical handling of goods, physical stock take of material; perform receiving, issuing services to all areas in Emirates Global Aluminium (“EGA”) in accordance with departmental objectives.

2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Receiving
 Receives the right item in right quantity as specified in the Purchase Order and / or Material Master Catalogue in SAP / hand-held scanners.
 Assists Senior Store man in keying Goods Receiving Note (“GRN”).
 Prints barcode labels and labels of materials received.

Issuing
 Issues / delivers promptly, the right quantity to the right location utilizing handheld scanners during the process.
 Follows “first-in-first-out” procedure and to checks the validity of dated products and serialisation if any.
 Records issues accurately in SAP system.
 Despatches the right item to the right locations / departments.

Material Maintenance
 Ensures goods are clearly and accurately barcode labelled for identification and takes extra precaution as necessary. Ensures goods are properly and safely located at the right location with right barcode and bin labels.
Safety, Quality and Environment
 Complies with all relevant EHS policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

3. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications:
 Grade 10
Minimum Experience:
 2 years as an Assistant Storeman.
Skills:
 Sound knowledge in the operation and utilisation of all tools and equipment associated with warehousing functions such as SAP systems, bar-coding systems etc.
 Good knowledge of computer systems such as SAP and MS Windows for Warehouse system. Bar Coding System – Hand Held Terminals (“HHT”) / Scanners) etc.; hand tools for unpacking / packing packages; mobile equipment, i.e. forklift, pick-up, van and personnel carrier.
