Paid bi-weekly

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have inventory control experience
  • Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, ‎Outlook, and Word)
  • ‎Must be willing and able to lift to 50 pounds, unload supplies, and stock inventory
  • Must be willing and able to work some weekends and holidays as needed
  • Successful completion of the due diligence process to include, but not limited to, a Level II background check and drug test

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Employment experience in a long-term care facility or health care environment
  • Experience using the State of Florida purchasing system (Ariba on Demand)
  • Experience operating a forklift

The incumbent will work under the supervision of the Nursing Home Administrator. Initiates purchase requisitions for supplies and maintains inventory accuracy levels at 95% or higher in coordination with the Home Administrator and other Departmental Heads.

  • Maintains the facility inventory computer system, documentation, and records according to Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs (FDVA) standards and procedures
  • Promptly deliver supplies and equipment to appropriate personnel or storerooms as required
  • Provides needed management reports to Administration
  • Establishes facility supply levels in central storeroom to ensure central and unit storerooms are stocked according to established levels
  • Records and reports on supplies/equipment received
  • Inspects storeroom to ensure the equipment and supplies are issued according to schedule and instructions, including coordinating the replacement of storeroom supplies
  • Stocks nursing supply rooms to established par levels according to FDVA standards and procedures
  • Coordinates with all facility departments and responds to residents' requests and needs
  • Completes required documentation
  • Performs other related duties as assigned and attends mandatory in-service programs
