Seasonal Dates: April 15th, 2026 - October 16th, 2026
The AMC’s Pinkham Notch Visitor Center (PNVC) is the headquarters for hikers, skiers and visitors in the White Mountains. Since 1920, when the club opened a rustic camp in the pass between the Wildcat Ridge and the Presidential Range, the credo has been mountain hospitality for all and we still hold to that mission today. Located within the 788,000 acre White Mountain National Forest, the facility houses more than 100 overnight guests in comfortable bunkroom-style accommodations. Three meals are served every day and our staff dispenses a wealth of information to the quarter-million people who pass through each year.
Although our guest services are the most visible, Pinkham is also the main office for the AMC’s North Country operations. Educational workshops and evening programs are offered year round. The Research Department conducts much of its pioneering work in the study of air quality, river conservation and forest ecology here. Trail crews based at Pinkham are responsible for maintaining much of the 350 miles of AMC’s trails in the area. All seasonal staff help promote the benefits of AMC membership to our guests. Pinkham crews may also have the opportunity to participate in mountain rescues, educational workshops and trail maintenance.
The PNVC Storehouse Crew positions are available April 1 through November 15th. The 40-hour workweeks are composed of eight-hour days that run from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Storehouse is open 7 days a week so days-off are not necessarily on the weekends.
