Who you are

• You have a strong passion for sustainability and are highly motivated to strengthen the IKEA brand in the area of People & Planet.
• Ideally, you already have experience in sustainability or have contributed to related projects.
• You are able to identify the connection between ecological sustainability and the commercial agenda.
• You are results- and solution-oriented, always bringing in new ideas and thinking outside the box.
• You are highly organized and work proactively, independently, and as part of a team, reporting directly to the Store Manager.
• Competence to present a complex topic in an understandable way to diverse audience (from management to the many co-workers; internal and external)
• You have Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in German, English

Your responsibilities

In this position you will collaborate and align with internal as well as external stakeholders, to secure that sustainability is integrated in our Store.

• Secure local adaptation of the global and Swiss direction and ambitions, to drive sustainability initiatives, processes and projects.
• Ensure the store action plan is implemented and regularly reviewed through the sustainability function review and other relevant evaluations.
• Document and assess initiatives and activities to leverage learnings and continuously drive improvement.
• Inform the store management team and, if applicable, the Service Office sustainability team about KPIs and progress (in line with the defined action plan and budget).
• Act as a point of contact for co-workers regarding sustainability-related matters and contribute to co-worker training and engagement initiatives.
• Provide sustainability-related content for communication purposes, with a special focus on local initiatives.
