Service Stream are growing our team on VRMC and with this we have a need for a store person to manage stock and get trucks ready for crews to minimize downtime.

As a Warehouse Storeperson, you will play a vital role in supporting the efficient operation of Service Stream’s VRMC contract. This role requires strong organisational skills, a safety‑first mindset, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching materials while maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring a clean, safe working environment.

This is a full-time permanent position based at our Clayton facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming goods and materials.
  • Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders and load trucks ready for dispatch.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and cycle counts.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment in a safe and compliant manner (where licensed).
  • Ensure all warehouse areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Manage documentation including delivery dockets, manifests, and inventory records.
  • Support inventory control, stock rotation, and storage optimisation.
  • Liaise with internal teams, drivers, and suppliers to coordinate deliveries and dispatch.
  • Assist with loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency.

About You:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or storeperson role.
  • Forklift licence essential, MR truck licence preferred but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes including receiving, dispatch, and stock control.
  • Experience using inventory or warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Basic computer skills (email, data entry, inventory systems).

Qualifications:

  • Forklift licence.
  • MR truck licence preferred but not essential
  • Relevant certificates in warehousing or logistics (preferred but not required).
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to WHS standards.
