Our client is a fine French bakery, opening a new location in Zurich.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Store Manager to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service Excellence: Ensure a premium customer experience by providing exceptional service and maintaining the high standards of the brand. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Cash Handling: Oversee all aspects of cash management, including daily cash register operations, bank deposits, and accurate financial reporting. Ensure adherence to company policies regarding transactions and financial procedures.
  • Human Resources Management: Lead the recruitment, training, and development of bakery staff to build a cohesive and efficient team. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to foster a positive work environment.
  • Compliance with Health and Safety Standards: Ensure that all bakery operations comply with health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with Swiss regulations and company policies.
  • Team Recruitment and Management: Manage the hiring process for new team members, from posting job ads to conducting interviews and onboarding. Create and maintain a positive and productive work environment through effective leadership and team-building practices.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze sales figures, KPIs, and other business metrics to optimize store performance. Develop strategies to drive sales growth and enhance profitability.
  • Supplier and Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with external vendors and suppliers, ensuring quality products and services are delivered on time and within budget. Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance.
  • Order Tracking and Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and place orders to ensure the bakery is always well-stocked with fresh ingredients and products. Coordinate with suppliers to manage inventory and avoid shortages or excesses.
  • Scheduling and Planning: Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours and maintain a balanced workload. Plan for holidays and special events to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum B2 level proficiency in French.
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • Previous experience in retail management, preferably in a bakery or luxury food setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of local health and safety regulations.
  • Experience in supplier management and order tracking.
