Not your average retailer, Salvos Stores is made up of a team of changemakers who are passionate about raising funds to help The Salvation Army provide over one million sessions of care to disadvantaged Australians each year through an extensive network of over 360 retail stores, as well as online.
About the role
As theStore Manager of Fawkner Salvos Store , you will be passionate about making a difference and be ready to lead a team of dedicated employees and volunteers to create a positive change. You will efficiently and effectively manage all retail functions to achieve Salvos Stores’ Strategic Objectives in line with The Salvation Army Mission and Values.
Reporting to theArea Manager , this is a permanent full-time role, located in Fawkner, VIC.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Retail General Industry Award, Level 6.
How you will make an impact
Lead all retail operations to achieve store and e‑commerce sales and surplus targets aligned with Salvos Stores strategic objectives
Manage stock (donated and PLU) to ensure ordering, pricing, presentation and display align with Salvos Stores policies and TSA Mission, Vision and Values
Manage rosters, wages and resourcing within budget, whilemaximisingvolunteer participation
Complete all administrative and Workday requirements accurately and on time, including timesheets and employee and volunteer administration
Communicate key information effectively, ensuring team members understand and comply with all policies and procedures
Maintain a safety‑first culture by ensuring compliance with WHS legislation, Salvos Stores safety, security, loss prevention and cash handling procedures, including timely safety reporting
Build strong community relationships and drive local engagement initiatives in partnership
What you will bring
Retail management experience (essential).
Strong proven customer service, interpersonal and communication skills (essential)
Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to inspire and engage people.
Ability to work to budgets and manage operational priorities.
Experience using Workday HCM system (highly regarded)

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.
We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.
We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville.
