Job Description

The Store Manager is responsible for the overall operation, performance, and profitability of the store. They are accountable for driving sales, managing expenses, ensuring operational excellence, maintaining compliance standards, developing team members, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Essential Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

• Recruit, train, develop, and retain store employees.
• Provide coaching, performance feedback, and corrective action when necessary.
• Create a culture of accountability, engagement, and customer service.
• Conduct regular team meetings and communicate company expectations.
• Ensure managers and associates understand and execute company initiatives.

Store Operations

• Ensure all operational tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain company standards for merchandising, pricing, signage, and planogram execution.
• Oversee inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and shrink control.
• Ensure warehouse and stockroom areas remain organized, safe, and productive.
• Monitor completion of company-directed tasks and reporting requirements.

Sales & Financial Performance

• Drive sales growth and achievement of store goals.
• Manage labor and controllable expenses within budget.
• Analyze store performance metrics and implement action plans to improve results.
• Maximize sales opportunities through merchandising and inventory management.

Customer Experience

• Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming shopping environment.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.
• Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service.

Compliance & Safety

• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to loss prevention, safety, and security standards.
• Maintain required documentation and complete assigned reporting accurately and on time.
• Ensure speed compliance, operational audits, and regulatory requirements are met consistently.

Communication & Accountability

• Maintain effective communication with district leadership.
• Execute directives and company programs within established deadlines.
• Provide accurate operational updates, reports, photos, inventories, and other required communications.
• Demonstrate ownership of store performance and follow through on commitments.
