With a proud heritage in British high street retail, TGJones is looking for passionate, customer-focused people who take pride in what they do, enjoy helping others and want to make a real difference. Join our team and help create a welcoming, positive experience that keeps customers coming back.
As a Store Leader, you'll take ownership of your store's performance, creating a welcoming shopping experience and building a team that delivers great service every day. You'll lead by example on the shop floor, helping colleagues feel confident, motivated and proud of what they achieve together.
You'll balance delivering excellent customer experiences with driving sales, maintaining high standards and ensuring the store runs smoothly. By setting clear priorities, recognising great work and supporting your team to develop, you'll help create a store where customers want to shop and colleagues want to work.
You'll help us to:
Put customers first. Set the standard for friendly, helpful service and ensure every customer receives a positive experience that encourages them to return.
Lead and inspire. Motivate your team, lead by example and create a positive working environment where everyone understands their role in delivering great results.
Drive store performance. Take ownership of sales and commercial targets, use key performance indicators such as ATV and TPC to identify opportunities, and turn plans into clear actions.
Make the store a great place to shop. Maintain high standards of stock availability, product displays and store presentation, ensuring the shopping environment is welcoming and easy to navigate.
Run the store effectively. Take responsibility for day-to-day operations, ensuring colleagues work safely and that company procedures and compliance standards are followed.
Develop your team. Coach colleagues, share knowledge, recognise achievements and support individual development to build confidence, capability and stronger performance.
Work together. Build strong relationships with your Cluster Manager and colleagues, sharing updates, reviewing progress and working collaboratively to achieve store and business goals.
About you
We're looking for a confident and hands-on retail leader who enjoys developing people, delivering results and creating a great customer experience. You'll be comfortable making decisions, setting expectations and supporting your team through the day-to-day challenges of a busy retail environment.
You'll bring
Retail leadership experience. Experience leading a team in a retail environment, with an understanding of sales performance, customer service and key measures such as ATV and TPC.
A hands-on leadership style. You lead by example, stay visible on the shop floor and support colleagues to deliver their best.
A focus on customers and results. You understand how excellent service supports sales, customer loyalty and the overall success of the store.
Strong communication skills. You're confident sharing expectations, giving feedback and building positive relationships with colleagues at all levels.
A passion for developing people. You enjoy coaching and motivating others, recognising potential and helping colleagues build their skills and confidence.
A proactive approach. You're organised, adaptable and able to prioritise effectively, maintaining high standards even when things get busy.
A team-first mindset. You work collaboratively, take ownership of challenges and are willing to support other stores in the area when required.
At TGJones, our people make the difference. We want colleagues to feel welcome, supported and able to develop their skills. You'll be part of a team that values ideas, works together and takes pride in helping customers every day. As a Store Leader, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact by developing your team, improving performance and creating a store that customers enjoy visiting.
Benefits for store colleagues include in-store employee discounts, generous third-party discounts, an employee assistance programme, flexible shifts, a company pension and more.
We're committed to an inclusive workplace where everyone can be themselves and do their best. Whatever your background or identity, you're welcome at TGJones. If you need adjustments during the selection process, please let our Talent Acquisition team know—we're happy to help.
