Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in a Store Manager role within the retail industry is essential
MISSION
As the main leader of the store, they must assure the profitability of the business by maximizing sales and controlling the costs. Managing their team appropriately and making the right decisions with the product will be the key to guarantee the best omnichannel experience of our customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities of the Store Directors can be grouped within four main pillars: people, product management, commercial activity and customer experience
From the people side, the Store Director will assure that the entire professional circle of life of the collaborators goes according to the expectations set by Mango. Therefore, they will have to guarantee that during recruitment processes, the profile of the collaborators is the right one, that the initial training and onboarding is delivered and completed appropriately.
They will make sure that plannings and rotas are done efficiently on a timely manner and guides and provide feedback regularly to the team to increase their level of performance and will assure that all the admin work is carried out in an active manner.
Once this is covered, they will be accountable for identifying potential among their collaborators and develop them to create their own talent pool. Deep analysis of the HR indicators will be key to identify improvement areas and make the right actions.
The wellbeing of all our staff is key, and because of that, it is expected to carry all the above following at all times our H&S standards. The Store Director will be responsible to follow the right procedures in case of evacuation, incident reports and manage accidents happening in the store and keep the staff trained and well informed about our H&S procedures and the local legislation. It will be essential to put actions in place to increase the satisfaction of work of all the collaborators taking into consideration Mango Values as the beacon to follow.
When referring to product management, the Store Director will assure that the whole circle of life of the product in the store goes according to the expectations set by Mango. Therefore, it is expected a great level of organization to make sure that the delivery of product is managed efficiently. That will allow to, either store the product organized and tidy in the stockrooms or getting it ready to go to the shopfloor to achieve a shopfloor fully replenished.
Store Director will make sure that within every single area of the store, the product is manipulated in a smooth and secure way, always following procedures, regardless of if the product is located on the floor, back areas, fitting room or cashdesk.
In regards to commercial activity and in conjunction with the VM team, the Store Director will guarantee that the merchandising of the product in the shopfloor is attractive and commercial, giving priority to new lines and always respecting the standards set by Mango. To ensure that, the Store Director must monitor commercial KPIs regularly, analyze them carefully and make action plans to improve them. To achieve their mission, the Store managers will monitor sales and stock levels to change the merchandising, put commercial actions in place, motivate and lead the team to achieve an increase of sales.
In regards to customer experience, the Store Directors are expected that the circle of life of our customers in the stores will be pleasant and satisfactory To do that, all the collaborators must be fully customer oriented and respect Mango´s standards of image, welcome our customers to make them feel at home and maintain the store in a clean and tidy manner. The Store Director must ensure that all collaborators are fully available and proactive when supporting customers and foster the omnichannel experience to increase their loyalty.
PROFILE
The Store Director will be accountable for all store results as the main leader of the store.
Although they will be supported by their District Manager, they must be fully empowered and understand that they have the complete authority to make relevant decisions for the business in a timely manner. The Store Director must be fully customer oriented, always willing to go an extra mile to satisfy the needs of the internal and external customers. To achieve this, they will have to honor the Mango Values at all times. They will be a great communicator, leading their teams and setting the example to bring out the best in their people and will show a strong impact and influence, that will allow them to persuade easily showing strong initiative
The Store Director is versatile, able to multitask, tenacious and able to manage stressful situations Their analytical skills will allow them to organize, manage and plan their responsibilities in an efficient way, always willing to receive feedback in a positive way. They must have a strong sense of commerciality, always based on their sensibility towards product and their passion for fashion
