Job Description

About the Department:

Store Development Department is responsible for creation of real store of UNIQLO Vietnam in whole Vietnam market. Working with Property developers, Designers, Constructors etc., also internal related department in the headquarters, to establish sophisticated real store for customer’s shopping atmosphere.

About the Role:

This position will be responsible for driving the full lifecycle of road-side / stand-alone store development projects—from land and property acquisition, feasibility study, leasing, design coordination, construction, to final handover—with a strong focus on roadside projects and standalone stores. Acts as a strategic partner to management to expand the UNIQLO Vietnam store network while maximizing long-term profitability, brand consistency, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and lead the store development and expansion strategy, aligned with corporate growth objectives, market opportunities, and portfolio optimization.

  • Handle the full development lifecycle across all projects, from feasibility, land/property acquisition, and leasing through design, construction, and handover.

  • Lead land acquisition and property development strategy, with a strong focus on roadside projects and standalone store formats as key growth drivers.

  • Make executive‑level decisions on site selection, investment prioritization, and capital allocation based on feasibility, risk, and return analysis.

  • Represent the company in high‑value lease and land negotiations, securing commercially advantageous terms that maximize long‑term sales and profitability.

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with major landlords, landowners, developers, and real estate partners.

  • Ensure consistent application of global store development standards and brand guidelines, while enabling flexibility for local market conditions.

  • Provide governance and oversight across design, construction, permitting, compliance, and handover to ensure quality, cost control, and schedule discipline.

  • Partner with Executive Management, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Design to align development decisions with overall business strategy.

  • Lead initiatives to enhance existing stores, improve customer experience, and increase productivity through physical environment optimization.

  • Drive process excellence, standardization, and capability building within the Store Development organization.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any related field.

  • 7-10 years+ experience in real estate management, Candidates with commercial / retail background is a plus.

  • Project management, construction quality / schedule / budget management.

  • Knowledge and experience in construction regulation, bidding process, contract management.

  • Analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management in English (verbal & written)

  • Ability to travel frequently..
