We are currently recruiting for a StoreDesignProject Manager to sit within the European team, based in our Paris office. You will be reporting into the Head of StoreDesign, working cross functionally with storeconstruction,andstore developmentAs part of the Store Design team, you will drive store design projects for Uniqlo Europe (on time, at budget, according to process rules).
The role offers travel across Europe, which is dependent on the projects you are responsible for managing at one time.
What you will be responsible for
Managingstore design work through all phases, from giving inputs on the feasibility of projectstillthe handover to the store management team.
Developingstore layouts and scope ofworksindevelopmentphase meeting UQ store requirements.
Workingtogether withconstructionteam and CAPEX team for budgeting. Ensuringthe handover conditions fromlandlord working together with development team to ensure the scope of works.
Identifyingthe scope of works for local architects andgetquotes from candidate localarchitect
Developingdesign set including layout, facadedesignand RCP etc.. meetingUQ design requirements working together with internal teams to fulfill the demands ofoperationteam andfinalizingthe layout with agreement from management and HQ.
Developingpermitset to get all necessarypermitstimelymanner working with localarchitect
Developingconstructionsetand bidding documents for GC bidding working together with localarchitectand construction team.
Makingsure to develop design documents in time to meetprojectschedule.
Workingtogether with construction team and procurement team toidentifythe quantity and quality of ownerfurnishedItems.
Supervisingand supportingof the construction for design/detail to meet code requirements and UQ quality control, during design phase and construction phase as well
Executingfinal inspection working together with construction manager before handover to store operation team to ensure code requirement, UQ quality requirement and maintenance requirementisprovided.
Supportingstore opening efforts in partnership withstoreoperations team.
Leadingpost-project analyses and discussions.Identifyopportunities and strive for continual process improvement.
Reportingweekly to team manager
Supportingthe UQ design guideline and some other documents update to improve local operation.
What we are looking for:
5-8 years in a similar position, local design/project experience, in apparel retail industry.
Fluentbusiness level in English,additionallanguages being a plus
Understand the Uniqlo Customer and Positioning in the marketplace
Sensitivity to aesthetic, quality architecture
Knowledge of in store customer experience
Ability to manage multiple projects at varying stages of complexity simultaneously.
Solid understanding of flagship and standard stores requirements and solid experience in roll out store implementation
Knowledge of store refurbishment constraints andmethodology
Knowledge of the European retail marketplace
Result and solution oriented mindset
