Job Description

THE WATCHMAKER OF WATCHMAKERS
Since 1833, driven by an unquenchable thirst for innovation and creativity, and inspired by the peaceful natural surroundings of its home in the Vallée de Joux, Jaeger-LeCoultre has been distinguished by its mastery of complications and the precision of its mechanisms. Known as the Watchmaker of Watchmakers, the Manufacture has expressed its relentlessly inventive spirit through the creation of more than 1,300 different calibres and the award of more than 400 patents. Harnessing 190 years of accumulated expertise, La Grande Maison’s watchmakers design, produce, finish and ornament the most advanced and precise mechanisms, blending passion with centuries-old savoir-faire, linking the past to the future, timeless but always up with the times. With 180 skills brought together under one roof, the Manufacture creates fine timepieces that combine technical ingenuity with aesthetic beauty and a distinctively understated sophistication.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

A learning opportunity at the intersection of architecture, design, craftsmanship and luxury.

We are looking for a motivated architecture student to join our team and discover the world of luxury Retail Design and Architecture from the inside.

Working on Boutique design projects is a unique way to understand how architecture can translate a brand’s identity into a physical experience. Every element matters: the proportions of a space, the circulation, the light, the materials, the detailing, the relationship between architecture and product, and even the smallest junction between two finishes.

- You will have the opportunity to be involved in different stages of the boutique design process, from concept development and spatial design to materials, technical drawings, 3D studies, presentations and project development.

- You will learn how an initial creative idea evolves into a real space — and how architecture, design, engineering, craftsmanship and construction come together to make it possible.

- You are curious, enthusiastic and eager to learn — someone who enjoys discovering new materials, exploring ideas, drawing, designing and understanding how spaces are built.

- Previous experience in retail design is not required. What matters most is your motivation, sensitivity to design and willingness to participate and grow.

This internship is an opportunity to learn from real projects, work alongside experienced designers and architects, and develop a deeper understanding of what it means to transform a creative idea into a carefully crafted environment.

WHAT ABOUT YOU ?

You are looking for an internship as part of the end of your Architecture or Interior Design studies:

  • Strong interest in architecture and interior design, creative profile with genuine curiosity for how spaces are conceived and experienced

  • Good design sensitivity regarding proportions, materials, colours, lighting and details

  • Interest in materials and craftmanship and curiosity about how design concepts are translated into real, built spaces

  • Ability to produce clear presentations and communicate ideas visually

  • You are agile, solution and result oriented, well organized and have ability to work in team and independently.

  • Willingness to learn and openness to feedback

  • Softwares required: Autocad, Sketchup, Adobe Creative package and Office

  • Team spirit and good communications skills in French & English (writing, speaking and presentation skills required).
