Job Title: Store Room Clerk

Pratt Industries – Mill Division – Wapakoneta, Ohio
The Store Room Clerk ensures an adequate and timely flow of materials and equipment to support cost-effective projects and daily operations. This role is vital for maintaining the supply chain and supporting the Purchasing Manager in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Inventory Management: Monitor supply levels for various jobs or sites and place orders to ensure timely delivery and competitive pricing.
Vendor Relations: Maintain constant contact with vendors and shipping companies to track deliveries and build strong professional relationships.
Logistics Coordination: Arrange the movement of materials between locations and coordinate deliveries based on priorities and specifications.
Quality Control: Inspect incoming orders to verify that quality and quantity meet requirements.
Problem Solving: Resolve delivery issues and immediately report pending delays to management.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records and ensure proper housekeeping of the store room area.
Duties assigned by management
Education: A 2 to 4-year post-secondary degree (College, University, Technical, or Vocational) is perferred.
Experience: Preference is given to candidates with two years of experience in industrial manufacturing or construction.
Technical Skills: * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Ability to perform root cause analysis and generate management reports.
Mathematical Ability: Proficient in basic math, algebra, and geometry; able to calculate figures such as discounts, proportions, area, and volume.
Communication: Ability to interpret technical manuals and communicate effectively with suppliers and contractors.
Certifications: Must possess or be able to obtain a Forklift License
Physical Activity: Regularly required to walk, stand, and reach; must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Environment: Frequently exposed to loud noise, moving mechanical parts, and airborne particles. Candidate must be comfortable working in wed/humid conditions and across a wide range of temperatures, heat and cold.
Vision: Requires strong close/distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
Success in this role is measured by the efficiency and timeliness of the material flow, directly impacting the cost-effectiveness of mill operations and projects.
Competitive Pay: This is a Salaried Non-Exempt position, which means you qualify for overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 per week.
