Job Description

We are looking for a Store Attendant for our location in Coral Way.

The Store Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service throughout Chèvre's specialty market, assisting guests with product selection, maintaining attractive and well-stocked displays, processing transactions accurately, and ensuring the store remains clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers throughout the market, delivering a friendly and welcoming experience
  • Answer customer questions and provide recommendations on market products, including cheeses, charcuterie, pantry items, beverages, and specialty foods
  • Operate the POS system accurately, handling cash, credit card, and digital transactions
  • Stock shelves, coolers, and displays; monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs
  • Receive, inspect, and organize deliveries according to company standards
  • Maintain attractive, organized, and fully replenished product displays throughout the store
  • Ensure all products are properly labeled, priced, and rotated following first-in, first-out (FIFO) procedures
  • Assist with packaging customer purchases and preparing gift baskets, catering items, and specialty orders as needed
  • Keep sales floor, checkout area, storage rooms, and workstations clean and sanitary
  • Follow food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures at all times
  • Support special events, tastings, promotions, and catering operations as needed
  • Stay informed about seasonal products, promotions, and new arrivals to better assist guests
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash handling, cleaning, and store setup

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail, specialty food, market, grocery, or hospitality environments preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable operating POS systems and handling cash transactions
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Food Handler certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
