Job DetailsJob Location: Calgary AB - Calgary, AB T2E 7J5Stone Security, a BearCom company, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Estimator to join our team.
Job Description:
Primary duties of this position are activities related to general sales support questions, security designs, quoting, assisting senior estimators with various tasks, estimating for sales/account managers from all Stone Security locations.
Quoting/Estimating:
Delivery of our proposal packages (in any of the formats we typically present) to customers is one of the major competitive advantages of Stone Security. New prospects are usually impressed by the speed, accuracy, and coherent, understandable appearance of our quotes, system layouts, and proposals. Learning how these proposals are calculated, compiled, and recorded will be the most critical responsibility for this role. The sales/account management team heavily relies on members of the estimating team to get information back to customers quickly and completely. The estimating team is also a safeguard of company profitability. We need this team to work together with sales/account managers to find ways to continuously improve accuracy and increase profitability. You will have access to Aaron Heiner, CTO, the project team, as well as the support/engineering team to verify items or labor. We hope you will make it your mission to improve this process and help Stone Security increase profitability by carefully monitoring this process.
Working on the estimating team for Stone Security is fun and demanding. You will operate with a tremendous amount of freedom. Stone Security is a fun and fast-paced environment where there is always something to tackle. The desire to learn, self-motivation, organization and a strong work-ethic are of the utmost importance in these working conditions, which is why we are very selective when adding someone to this team.
Requirements:
Work History – 3 Year Minimum
Prior Work in Quoting Desired
Computer Proficiency
Microsoft Office Suite
Communication Skills
Proficiency in Learning New Software Platforms
Quick Learner/Proactive/Works Well On Own or In Groups
High School Diploma or GED
Bachelors/Associate’s Degree
Schedule:
This is a full-time position. Business hours are 8 AM to 5 PM. However, meetings with customers may sometimes require working outside normal business hours.
