Job Description

This role supports the maintenance team and is responsible for the proper storage, handling, and record keeping of all parts inventory. They are also responsible for the delivery of maintenance supplies, materials, and parts, the inventory of all spare and/or replacement parts, fittings, tools, and equipment. Maintain all required paperwork and inventory stock levels. Create requisitions, procure materials as requested by authorized personnel.

1st shift: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm

Compensation: $34.40/hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete Work Orders in SAP that have been submitted by the craftsperson.
  • Print out PM’s from SAP for craftsperson for the week.
  • Create the daily work schedule for craftsperson to sign off on.
  • Maintain parts list in SAP.
  • Work with engineering to have new parts lists entered.
  • Make changes to existing functional locations parts as needed.
  • Maintain parts lists for required functional locations.
  • Review parts signed out to track and report machine breakdown frequencies.
  • Report repetitive parts sign out.
  • Enter requisitions for purchases required for maintenance activities.
  • Work with the maintenance support staff on the information stored in the maintenance archive room. Add new documents, remove obsolete documents, and perform annual file cleanup.
  • Stockroom cleanliness & 5S.
  • Pick up parts from local suppliers when needed.
  • Receive and check all incoming parts.
  • Maintain all receipts, packing lists, etc. as required.
  • Process parts withdrawals form stock inventory.
  • Delete obsolete parts from SAP.
  • Maintain all tools in stockroom.
  • Perform stockroom inventory counts.
  • Issue parts to craftsperson after receiving.
  • Organize and conduct Contractor Safety Meetings as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Committed to safety with a consistent record of demonstrating this commitment.
  • Computer skills, specifically:
  • SAP experience (Purchasing specifically) preferred
  • Demonstrated experience using SFIS (Shop Floor Information System) required
  • Demonstrated experience using Excel Spreadsheets and Microsoft Word required
  • Demonstrated experience using Outlook (E-mail) required
  • Ability to organize and plan tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and work as a team required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with maintenance team, production personnel, engineering, vendors, OEM suppliers, and management.
  • Able to efficiently perform internet searches and conduct research.
  • Able to read and interpret vendor manuals and drawings.

Education and Experience:

  • Required:
    • Minimum two years of manufacturing experience
  • Preferred:
    • Technical experience in maintenance preferred

Working Conditions:

Activities occur inside the manufacturing plant and maintenance area as well as outside the facilities at times. Job conditions include but are not limited to exposure to the following:

  • Majority of activity will occur in an office-type or maintenance shop atmosphere. Potential for temperatures exceeding 100oF when working in manufacturing areas in summer or below 32oF when working outside during the winter.
  • Work in high places (near ceiling).
  • Fumes from Plant 6, cleaning solutions and chemicals used across campus.
  • Airborne dust (mica dust, chemicals production areas).
  • Use of chemicals - contact cleaners, spray solvent, etc.
  • Hydraulic and lubricating oils.
  • Pinch hazard on moving mechanical parts (conveyors, production equipment, and maintenance shop equipment).
  • Confined spaces inside mixers, hold/surge tanks, dust collectors etc.
  • Heavy equipment operation including forklift, hoist, tractor, hydraulic lift, etc.
  • Hearing protection is required in specified areas of the plant.
  • Respirators required in specified areas of the plant.
  • Explosive hazards present
