Stockroom Clerks are responsible for the physical receiving, storage, and distribution of materials as well as maintaining accurate records of inventory. Other duties may include driving the Stockroom Truck to pick up and/or deliver materials.
Duties consist of:
• Count, sort and/or weigh received material and equipment to verify the physical receipt matches that shown on packing slip or other delivery document.
• Fill material requests for stocked supplies, tools and equipment.
• Document and record the issuance of supplies from stock.
• Package and assemble materials for shipment to Job Site or Departmental Transfer.
• Monitor inventory levels and requisition supplies as needed to maintain minimum on hand balance requirements.
• Perform daily cycle counts of inventory.
• Maintain inventory transaction records.
• Perform stockroom housekeeping functions of cleaning, sweeping, emptying trash, etc.
• Pick up and/or deliver materials as needed.
Job Requirements:
• Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with a team.
• Must be dependable and maintain great, on-time attendance.
• Flexibility and willingness to work overtime as needed both during the week and on weekends.
• Good Math Comprehension with an Emphasis on Fractions.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Valid NC Driver’s License.
• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• Ability to Pass Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
Preferred Skills:
• Prior Forklift Operation Training & Certification.
• Proficient with the use of a Keyboard.
• Basic Understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Physical Requirements:
• Stand/sit/walk for 8+ hours per day; climb stairs, ladders; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Bend, kneel and stoop frequently.
• Wear safety glasses, hard hat, hearing protection and other protective equipment as necessary.
