Job Description

Jet Avion Corporation is located at HEICO’s corporate headquarters in Hollywood, Florida and specializes in the supply of various platforms of aircraft and engine PMAs. Our products and capabilities vary from interiors cabin interiors to highly complex power plant and accessory parts.

ROLE: The Stockroom Clerk is responsible for receiving, counting, packaging, labeling, storing, and distribution of materials as well as maintaining accurate records of inventory. Must be attentive, organized, efficient, energetic and hardworking. May involve heavy lifting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Responsible for pulling parts, packaging & labeling from inventory for work orders.
  • Perform accurate inventory hand-counts of high-quantities, ranging in size from tiny pins to oversized pallet lots. Packaging, labeling and stocking of lots according to standards.
  • Verify and maintain documentation related to part counts & movements.
  • Utilize computer systems, barcode scanners and printers (e.g. recording inventory transactions, generate labels, generate paperwork, communicate via phone & email)
  • Recognize & resolve inventory discrepancies & work area issues.
  • Coordinate with co-workers to accomplish large tasks efficiently.
  • Operate machinery for moving products, such as hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, conveyor, etc.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of supplies; replenish as needed.
  • Organize and maintain stockroom area.
  • Assist Shipping & Receiving, as needed.
  • Dress appropriate for office work environment while maintaining strict attention to warehouse safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least six months’ experience in stocking, shipping, logistics, or related field.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Current forklift license preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES:

  • Language/Communication Skills: Must be fluent and able to read and write English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as emails, reports and correspondences. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Excellent communication skills.
  • Computer Skills: Moderate computer knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). Able to use handheld electronic scanners.
  • Math Skills: Ability to use mathematics to solve problems.
  • Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to problem solve and provide solutions.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, strict attention to details and ability to multitask and prioritize as necessary, with minimal supervisory direction. Must be flexible in handling multiple tasks.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Must work well and communicate with others.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to operate a forklift truck and get certified.
  • Strong Work Ethic: Willingness to work hard and long hours, when needed. Must be available to work overtime and some Saturdays, as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Performing the duties of this job will require to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and reach with arms, hands and fingers. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and ability to adjust focus. Must be physically capable of routine bending to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Example: metal manufacturing machinery, large earth-moving equipment, forklifts, etc.
