Full-Time Stock Associate

Fortunoff Backyard Store – Melville, New York

Fortunoff Backyard Store, the nation’s largest specialty retailer of outdoor furniture, is seeking a dependable, energetic, and hardworking Full-Time Stock Associate for our Melville, New York retail Furniture location

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys staying active, working as part of a team, and helping maintain an organized, attractive, and customer-ready retail environment.

Position Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, inspect, and organize incoming merchandise.
• Safely move, assemble, and display outdoor furniture and accessories.
• Maintain an organized and efficient stockroom.
• Replenish merchandise on the sales floor as needed.
• Assist with floor moves, merchandise displays, and seasonal store setups.
• Help prepare merchandise for customer pickup or delivery.
• Inspect merchandise for damage and report any concerns immediately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional stockroom and sales-floor environment.
• Assist customers and sales associates with merchandise when needed.
• Follow all company safety, inventory-control, and operational procedures.
• Assist customers and sell, answer phones.

Qualifications

• Previous stockroom, warehouse, retail, delivery, or furniture-handling experience is preferred but not required.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work well with others.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and move outdoor furniture and merchandise.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and remain physically active throughout the shift.
• Comfortable using basic tools for furniture assembly.
• Available to work a flexible full-time schedule, including weekends and holidays when required.
• Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent support to customers and the store team.
