The STNA provides direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. This roleassistsresidents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity, independence, comfort, and quality of life.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assistresidents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
Assistwith mobility, transfers, ambulation, and positioning of residents.
Monitor and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, and mental conditions to nursing staff.
Take and record vital signs, weights, and intake/output as directed.
Maintainaccuratedocumentation of care provided.
Answerresidentscall lights promptly and courteously.
Assistwith meal service and resident hydration.
Provide compassionate emotional support and companionship.
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
Follow infection control, safety, and resident rights policies and procedures.
Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
Qualifications
Current Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certificationrequired
Current CPR certification preferred.
Previousskilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or healthcare experience preferred but notrequired
Strong communicationand interpersonal skills
Ability to provide compassionate, resident-centered care.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents safely.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a healthcare setting.
