Join our Queenstown team and be part of delivering essential infrastructure in a region that never stands still. From supporting growing communities to maintaining safe and efficient roads for locals and visitors alike, no two days are the same.

As an STMS, you’ll play a key role in keeping our crews and the public safe by ensuring traffic management plans are delivered accurately and efficiently. You’ll lead from the front - setting up and packing down sites, running toolbox and closure briefings, and providing clear direction to your crew.

You’ll also:

  • Lead and support TMO crews on-site
  • Train and mentor junior STMS team members
  • Ensure all works are delivered safely and to a high standard
  • Respond to changing conditions and problem-solve on the go

This is a full-time, permanent Monday–Friday role based in Queenstown, with occasional night, weekend, and on-call emergency response work required.

As an STMS, you will be a physically fit and motivated person and will bring with you.

  • A valid STMS warrant (be it A/B or Level 1/2) is essential
  • Full Class 2 Drivers License - highly desirable
  • Strong planning skills and problem-solving skills
  • Proven leadership ability with a coaching mindset
  • Clear and confident communication skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic,outdoor role
  • A strong commitment to health and safety
