Join our Invercargill team and be part of delivering essential infrastructure that keeps communities moving safely. No two days are the same, and the work you do will directly contribute to high-quality outcomes across a range of projects.

As a Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS), you’ll lead from the front - planning, coordinating, and delivering temporary traffic management across a variety of road environments.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead day-to-day site operations, including crew briefings, inductions, and traffic management setup and pack-down
  • Ensure all Temporary Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) are implemented and compliant
  • Carry out vehicle and equipment checks and complete all required documentation
  • Implement contingency plans and uphold health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Train and mentor TTMWs, TMOs, and STMS trainees
  • Act as the key on-site contact for stakeholders
  • Keep your team, subcontractors, and the public safe at all times

Ngā pūkenga matua | What you’ll bring

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring strong leadership capability and hands-on experience in TTM, along with:

  • Full Class 1 & 2 Driver Licences
  • Current TTM Unit Standards (31958–31963)
  • Proven experience leading TTM operations, including unattended sites
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills
  • A flexible approach to shift work
  • A strong commitment to health and safety
  • A proactive, performance-driven mindset
  • First Aid certification (desirable)
