POSITION: Reservations Specialist
REPORTING TO: Reservations Manager, Reservations Assistant Manager, Reservations Team Lead
Under the general direction of the Reservations Manager/Assistant Manager/Team Lead, the Reservations Specialist will handle STHS clients’ heli ski package reservations, including but not limited to: taking them through the booking process, assisting with guest service while they are in-house, and following up after their package is complete.
Depending on operational needs, there may be opportunities for this role to grow into a Team Lead position and/or continue as year-round employment.
OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• To fully understand and promote STHS heli ski products with potential clients. The Reservations Specialist is expected to understand and book all types of products; Day Heli and Multiday Packages.
• Maintain professional communications with all clients and wholesale agents in a timely fashion by phone and email.
• Coordinate booking inquiries, ensuring all registration requirements and documentation are fulfilled. This includes but is not limited to email communications, invoicing for trips, and payment receipts.
• Ensure the onsite elements of STHS skiing programs are efficiently coordinated (i.e. food & beverage, transportation, accommodation requirements, daily logistics) and communicated as needed to both clients and STHS staff.
• Auditing bookings & filing paperwork ensuring thorough attention to detail.
• Maintain a safety conscious workplace, adhering to company health and safety policies and procedures. Includes involvement in emergency response plans if required.
• Always conduct yourself professionally as an ambassador of Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing.
• Duties in other departments such as Guest Services, Admin & Dispatch as required.
ABILITIES REQUIRED
• Mature, enthusiastic, guest service & sales-oriented individual
• Excellent English verbal and written communication required
• Reservations experience required
• Heli skiing or backcountry skiing-related work experience an asset
• Ability to speak other languages (German, French, or Spanish particularly) an asset
• Full participation throughout the winter season - unfortunately, we cannot accommodate extended absences or significant time away between December-early April
• The ability to multi-task and prioritize projects within deadlines
• Excellence in the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with respect to selling
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work with composure in a fast-paced environment
• Experience using RTP sales software an asset
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications
