About the Job
An opportunity has arisen for Stewarding Manager for Stewarding Department to join Jumeirah Group.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
Maintain equipment stocks for outlets and set up procedures for the effective tracking, monitoring and return of requisitions as well as ensuring that adequate stocks are in place to serve business needs.
Provide training to team members on processes, procedures, customer service methods and other required training to uphold quality, safety and execute the departmental objectives as identified.
Coordinate with the relevant departments and individuals (culinary, chefs, banqueting, food preparation etc.) to determine their stewarding requirements and plan and prepare equipment and area maintenance as required for the safe and hygienic food preparation and service.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Stewarding Department, ensuring that all standard operating procedures are followed by providing guidance, encouraging teamwork and facilitating related professional work processes to achieve high performance standards and liaise with internal and external parties at the appropriate levels to ensure smooth flow of operations.
Adhere to all relevant Health, Safety and Environment management procedures and controls within a defined area of activity so that Jumeirah Group provides world class and luxurious hospitality services to its guests.
Coordinate with the engineering department for the maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment.
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Proven experience in stewarding leadership roles within a luxury hotel or high-volume hospitality environment.
In-depth knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards, always ensuring full compliance
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with Culinary, F&B, and other operational departments.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a strong focus on operational efficiency and cost control.
Strong people-management skills with the ability to train, motivate, and supervise a diverse team.
