Stewards will be responsible for collecting used dishes, plates, equipment and utensils, loading dish machine and stacking washed items appropriately. In addition, collecting garbage, sweeping, mopping and upkeep of the overall cleanliness of the facility inside and out.
· Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas· Load and unload dishwashing machine· Assist with banquet plating and food running as applicable· Wash specific items by name (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china)· Store clean pots, pans, dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately and safely· Remove garbage regularly· Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor, walls, doors and handles· Routine cleaning of cargo equipment (Speed Racks, Carts, Metro Racks)· Communicate regularly and clearly with the Stewarding Manager as needed· Cleaning and upkeep of the dumpster area and storage rooms· Duties subject to change based on nature of business
· Positive attitude.· Requires lifting from 25-50 pounds.· Willingness to work in hot, humid environment and on your feet for 8-hour shifts (Meals and Breaks will be provided).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA):· Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed· Time management skills· Attention to detail and sanitation rules· Availability to work during weekends and evenings
