The Steward is responsible for the management and proper functioning of all dishwashing equipment, including but not limited to dishwashing stations, hand-washing sinks, and other kitchen cleaning equipment. He/She ensures waste disposal in compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations. He/She is also responsible for the storage of cleaning products in designated storage areas, in accordance with company standards. In addition, he/she maintains kitchen floors and work surfaces under the guidance of the Executive Chef and his/her delegates, and in compliance with food hygiene and safety rules.

SPECIFIC MISSIONS

  • Cleans and maintains all kitchen equipment to ensure that only clean equipment is used, including but not limited to dishwashing stations and other cleaning equipment;
  • Organizes cleaning activities using detergents, in compliance with company safety rules, ensuring adherence to hygiene and food safety standards regarding cleaning and storage of cleaning products;
  • Ensures that the hand-washing station is always in impeccable condition;
  • Cleans and disinfects all kitchen areas, including but not limited to tables, work surfaces, cutlery, plates, and kitchen utensils, to maintain impeccable hygiene and safety standards;
  • Cleans and disinfects cafeteria areas;
  • Ensures proper organization and storage of all kitchen utensils;
  • Maintains dishwashing equipment (e.g., dishwashing machines) by removing waste, cleaning machine interiors, and reporting any malfunctions to the Executive Chef or his/her delegates;
  • Ensures proper use of the three-compartment sink system in dishwashing procedures, checking both water temperature and detergent concentration for compliance with safety standards;
  • Scrapes all dishes and utensils thoroughly to remove waste before washing;
  • Inspects dishes, cutlery, glasses, and utensils after cleaning to ensure they are spotless, re-washing them if necessary until standards are met;
  • Disposes of waste in designated containers in compliance with current regulations and hygiene and food safety standards;
  • Stores all cleaned dishes, glasses, cutlery, utensils, and other related items in designated storage areas.

  • Protects the security and confidentiality of guest and colleague information;
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding company equipment and data;
  • Complies with all company and departmental procedures;
  • Wears the appropriate uniform, name badge, maintains a professional appearance, and uses personal protective equipment as required.

COMMUNICATION

  • Addresses colleagues and guests using clear, respectful, and professional language;
  • Assists colleagues and ensures they fully understand their responsibilities;
  • Communicates discreetly with colleagues about service needs or incidents, away from guest areas.

Offer details:

  • Status : Employee – Niveau I – Echelon 1
  • Trial period : 15 days
  • Contract period : June - September 2026
  • Weekly working hours : 39 hours contract
  • Gross monthly salary scale : 1.900€ - 2.100€
