Education: Must be able to communicate with Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef.

Training and Experience: Dishwashing equipment knowledge preferred. Valid Florida driver’s license also required. Basic food prep a plus.

Job Knowledge: Must have an understanding of the terms clean and sanitary.

To provide clean and sanitized dishes, utensils and pots for cooks, servers, bartenders, guests and members use.

Physical Abilities: Must be able to work on feet quickly for an average shift, lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds, not limited to trash removal, and work in a hot and wet environment.

Job Duties and Functions

1. Be punctual at all times.
2. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends, holidays and split shifts.
3. Arrive to work on time, consistently.
4. Become familiar with all appropriate machinery and equipment as well as the accompanying safety features.
5. Knowledgeable of appropriate hazardous chemicals and their accompanying MSDS.
6. Bring in trash cans and mats at the beginning of your shift.
7. Set-up dishwasher for operation, informing Supervisor of any problems.
8. Insure all pots, pans, glasses, plates etc., are clean by washing and /or running all items through the dishwasher.
9. Set up pre-soak for silverware, run silverware through dishwasher twice, once on flat rack and once in green basket, separated with handles up.
10. Participate in kitchen cleaning schedule.
11. Perform tasks as requested by other kitchen staff.
12. Completion of shift, remove all waste cans, take out mats, mops, mop the floor and clean work area.
13. Perform other jobs that will assist in an efficient and top quality running kitchen as assigned by the Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef or Executive Chef.
