
Sterile Processing Technologist | Part Time

Key Responsibilities
Clean, inspect, and test reusable medical equipment and surgical instruments for proper function and cleanliness
Identify and report defects or concerns in instrumentation
Assemble instrument trays and equipment according to established procedures and standards
Operate sterilization equipment and follow protocols to ensure proper sterilization of supplies
Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and inventory
Provide timely and efficient sterile supply services to departments across the medical center
Uphold infection prevention standards and contribute to a safe surgical environment
Minimum Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience
Basic knowledge of surgical instrumentation preferred
Prior experience in sterile processing or healthcare support roles is a plus
Licensure/Certification
Current sterile processing certification (e.g., CRCST, CBSPD) preferred
Willingness to obtain certification within a designated timeframe may be considered
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Basic understanding of microbiology and infection control principles preferred
Attention to detail and commitment to safety
Ability to follow procedures and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn and grow within the sterile processing field
