What You'll Do

-Cleaning, decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, storing, and distributing equipment

-Ensures the sterile instruments and equipment are available

-Ensures all equipment is properly maintained, and ready for immediate use in order to support patient care


What We're Looking For

  • Education High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Experience One year of experience in a hospital Sterile Reprocessing Department, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Sterile Reprocessing Tech certification, required. CBSPD, CRCST or CSPDT, required.
  • Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Demonstrates knowledge of instrumentation and sterile/aseptic technique. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions to assemble instrument sets and trays. Ability to learn and understand medical terminology. Maintains Sterile Processing Technician certification.
