Facility: Kernersville Medical Center | Location: Kernersville, NC | Position Type: Full-Time | Work Schedule: Mid Shift, 2:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.

What You'll Do

  • Decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment
  • Prepare and package instrument sets according to established procedures
  • Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and completeness
  • Operate sterilization equipment and monitor sterilization processes
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection prevention and safety standards
  • Ensure instruments and equipment are available and ready to support patient care

What We're Looking For

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Experience: One year of experience in a hospital Sterile Processing Department, preferred.
  • Licensure/certification/registration: Sterile Processing Tech Certification, preferred.
  • Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Demonstrates knowledge of instrumentation and sterile/aseptic technique. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions to assemble instrument sets and trays. Ability to learn and understand medical terminology.
