This position is a key position is the Department of Operating Room Service. The Central Sterile Supervisor of the Surgical Processing division requires outstanding communication and critical thinking skills.
Incumbent has a strong clinical background to assist training of staff to perform duties as a Surgical Processing Technician to include: decontamination and/or processing of equipment and instrumentation, and distribution of supplies or equipment, as assigned within UCLA Healthcare. Orients, supervises and evaluates Surgical Processing Instrument Technicians.
Other major duties include, but are not limited to, customer service and departmental efficiencies.Able to maintain, prioritize, and expedite work flow. Works with Clinical Educator to conduct orientation, training programs, and staff development.
CRCST (required), CHL (preferred), CIS (preferred)
Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience: Minimum3 years in Sterile Processing or Operating Room
