**This posting will be used to fill two positions that will each cover three Regions each, throughout the State of Florida. Position numbers are:

60075552 - Northwest, Northeast, and Central Regions

60075553 - Suncoast, Southeast, and Southern Regions

The Recruitment and Retention Specialist is responsible for statewide outreach, recruitment, partnership development, and retention efforts supporting the Step into Success program.

REQUIREMENTS

Essential Job Functions

  • The position serves as a primary ambassador for the program by building relationships with youth-serving organizations, employers, mentors, educational institutions, community partners, and other stakeholders.
  • The Recruitment and Retention Specialist develops and maintains recruitment pipelines, promotes program awareness, supports participant engagement, and expands opportunities for current and former foster youth through strategic community partnerships.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

Work Experience Requirements:

  • Strong public speaking, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in community engagement, outreach, workforce development, or business development.
  • Knowledge of child welfare, foster care, workforce development, or youth services.
  • Ability to represent the program professionally in public settings.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience developing strategic partnerships and collaborative initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout the state and attend evening or community events as needed.
