
Steering Program Control Engineer is responsible for steering programs being run to meet product development milestones on time. Engineer is also responsible to ensure the quality of the information loaded as evidence to meet each deliverable for design rules, requirements and governmental regulations, consolidating, tracking and reporting across all global vehicle programs. Lead to keep up to date all dashboards related to Product development deliverables, being the enabler to help the team to identify and eliminate the roadblocks to meet milestones on time, while keeping informed the management team about the progress and help required to achieve all deliverables and task on time.
1. Understand and apply Ford Product development process (GPDS).
2. Ensure compliance to Program cost, weight, quality, performance, and timing targets.
3. Understand and apply GPDS process, creating and maintain track of global steering milestones.
4. Support the Steering Program Control Team in monitoring GPDS integrator to ensure global steering deliverables are on track for upcoming programs gateways.
5. Gather and extract program status information from multiple internal sources, Power BI, dashboards, GPDS, FEDE, and other Ford reporting sites.
6. Design and maintain of a Standard Tool for status updates that aligns with Ford’s corporate metrics, ensuring its use for the engineering team to fill and update.
7. Prepare summary decks with data visualization for periodical reviews.
8. Identify the roadblocks and help the team to resolve them and achieve the milestones on time.
9. Participate actively identifying the needs to be on time for every gateway in GPDS.
10. Encourage proactively the team to meet all deliverables for each milestone.
1. Education: Degree in Engineering, (Industrial preferred, Mechanical, Mechatronic, etc.) or related field.
2. Familiarity with PowerBI, Basic Macros (VBA).
3. Program Management experience.
4. Experience in engineering changes implementation.
5. Experience applying/using GPDS or APQP preferred
6. Experience in PPAP process, preferred.
7. Knowledge in steering system and steering components, like steering gear, steering column, etc. Preferred
8. High level English proficiency required (C1).
