MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate with Field Engineers, Material Management, and Construction Supervision teams to execute all steel structure construction activities on site.
- Continuously monitor and enforce HSE requirements during construction activities, ensuring subcontractors comply with all applicable safety standards and procedures.
- Ensure steel structure works are executed in accordance with project specifications, approved drawings, procedures, quality requirements, and project schedules.
- Monitor construction progress and proactively identify potential issues that may impact quality, productivity, cost, or schedule performance.
- Verify implementation of Quality Control Plans and ensure all required inspections, tests, and certifications are properly completed by subcontractors.
- Initiate and follow up non-conformance reports (NCRs) and support resolution of quality-related issues.
- Provide technical guidance and support to subcontractors to facilitate safe, efficient, and compliant execution of steel structure erection works.
- Review engineering and construction documents and provide clarification to subcontractors for proper interpretation and implementation.
- Interface with Site and Home Office Engineering teams to resolve technical issues arising during construction and erection activities.
- Attend coordination, production, and progress meetings with clients, subcontractors, and project teams to review progress, planning, and technical matters.
- Supervise, monitor, and inspect steel structure fabrication, delivery, and erection activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Review and verify method statements, lifting plans, equipment positioning studies, and related calculations for steel structure erection activities.
- Verify material certificates, calibration certificates, and associated documentation for steel structures, bolts, nuts, washers, torque wrenches, surveying equipment, and other critical construction tools.
- Verify steel structure alignment, levelness, bolt installation, and torque tightening prior to final acceptance.
- Review and verify subcontractor progress reports, technical attachments, extra work claims, and monthly invoices to support project controls and accounting processes.
- Prepare and manage punch lists, verify completion of corrective actions, and formally close outstanding construction items.
- Conduct random inspections at fabrication shops and verify material deliveries to ensure compliance with project specifications and delivery schedules.
- Estimate manpower, equipment, tools, and material requirements for additional or variation works when required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience in steel structure fabrication, erection, and construction supervision within EPC, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, Refinery, or Industrial projects.
- Good knowledge of structural steel construction methods, quality requirements, and HSE standards.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
