Worthington Steel is hiring Steel Production Associates at our Monroe, OH facility. This is a hands-on role with paid training, along Medical, Dental, Vision insurance on Day 1. Prior manufacturing experience is helpful but not required — we provide training and clear paths for growth.

This is a physical, active job in a manufacturing environment. You will be on your feet for most of your shift, working around industrial equipment, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.

What You’ll Get

  • Starting pay: $20/hour
  • Shift differential: +$1.50 (2nd shift) / +$0.75 (3rd shift)
  • Weekly overtime (time and a half, double time after 48 hours)
  • Quarterly profit sharing
  • Benefits starting Day 1 (medical, dental, vision, life, 401k – company pays approximately 87% of medical costs)
  • Tuition reimbursement and advancement opportunities
  • $180 annual boot allowance
  • Paid vacation and 11 paid holidays

Schedule

  • Training will take place on 1st shift (7 am - 3 pm) and lasts approximately 4-6 weeks. After training, you will transition to:
  • 2nd Shift: 3 PM to 11 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 11 PM to 7 AM
  • Shift premium applies once you move off of 1st shift.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate and assist with steel processing equipment
  • Load and unload materials and position steel coils
  • Package, weigh, and stage finished products
  • Monitor product quality and identify defects
  • Support machine operators with setup and daily production tasks

What You Need

Must-have:

  • Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift consistently
  • Comfortable performing physical, repetitive work and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Reliable attendance and ability to show up on time for scheduled shifts
  • Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure

Nice-to-have:

  • Manufacturing, construction, or mechanical experience
  • Experience operating tools or machinery
