Steel Fixer

Contract: PAYE

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Steel Fixers to join a major long-term construction project. Working as part of a skilled civils and construction team, you will be responsible for the installation and positioning of reinforcement steel in accordance with project specifications, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret reinforcement drawings and specifications.

• Cut, bend, position and fix reinforcing steel and associated materials.

• Install reinforcement for concrete structures, foundations and infrastructure works.

• Ensure reinforcement is positioned and secured correctly prior to concrete placement.

• Work closely with site supervisors, engineers and other trades to deliver project requirements.

• Maintain high standards of quality, safety and workmanship.

• Comply with all site health, safety and environmental procedures.

• Support general construction activities as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Steel Fixer on construction, infrastructure or civil engineering projects.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and reinforcement schedules.

• Strong understanding of reinforced concrete construction methods.

• Good knowledge of site health and safety requirements.

• CSCS Card (essential).

• Additional industry qualifications and certifications are advantageous.

• Reliable, motivated and able to work effectively within a team environment.
