Steel Erector

Hourly rate: £28.18
As a Steel Erector you will be involved in:
• Reviewing technical drawing plans
• Operating hand and power tools
• Installing and fixing together structural steel components
• Using elevated work platforms and scissor lifts
• Lifting and guiding components into position with mobile /tower cranes
• Lining up and levelling steelwork before bolting it in place
• Implementation and adhering to all health and safety policies and complete all paperwork relating to health and safety.
What are we looking for?
• General education with a reasonable level of experience working in construction environments, erecting Structural Steelwork is essential.
• Acclimated to working on a construction site and confidence working at height
• Must also have: level 3 NVQ Gold CSCS card, IPAF+ or CPCS MEWP card
• Logical thinking skills
• Sound communicator
• Enthusiastic and reliable team player
• Knowledge and understanding of health and safety guidelines
• The working environment will be at height, physically demanding, noisy and you will be outdoors in all weathers
• Willing to live in temporary accommodation to suit the location of the projects.
